As a Senior Manager, Fleet Maintenance, Here's What You'll Do:

The Senior Manager, Fleet Maintenance is responsible for all Maintenance and Fuel strategies, products, and processes. This role will lead and manage all activities for the Maintenance department, including process improvements, workload management, product roadmaps, and profitability. In addition, this role is responsible for the maintenance strategy and leading the supplier sourcing/selection activities and successfully managing key strategic supplier relationships. Leverage data analytics to improve maintenance efficiency and guide spend. In addition to the maintenance strategy, this role will also develop, implement, and enhance our growing fuel products, services, procedures, and vendor relationships.

Senior Manager, Fleet Maintenance Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining product strategy, vision, and feature/function roadmaps
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the call center and service levels.
  • Manages the daily staff and call center activity based on established department goals
  • Be a trusted expert and command a thorough understanding of fleet maintenance and fueling services and supporting processes.
  • Use a data-driven approach to oversee the Maintenance Department and all functions with a focus on process efficiencies and internal and external customer experience.
  • Manages supplier relationships and monitors contracts and profitability, negotiating with vendors to maximize cost efficiencies of fleet maintenance operations and ensure optimal vendor network
  • Responsible for refining and continuously improving vendor scorecards and SLAs
  • Enhance and be accountable for departmental KPIs, including revenue and rebate tracking
  • Be a change agent and leader in continuous improvement across the department and company focusing on scalable processes, enhancing customer experience, and delivering consistent reliable service.
  • Provide industry thought leadership internally (quarterly) and publicly (regularly) through conference calls, webinars, panel expertise, or public forums like blog posts or publications
  • Presentations to customers and prospects as required, including onboarding and introductory calls ensuring a clear understanding of our maintenance products
  • Implement a consistent Warranty Management process to enhance customer experience and revenue
  • Work closely with other Operations and Customer Experience leaders to ensure smooth interactions and a positive experience for internal and external partners.
  • Work closely with IT to help define, test, and implement new systems and processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, innovation, and changes and incorporate that knowledge into recommended improvements.
  • Other duties and projects assigned.

Here's What it Will Take to be Successful in this Role:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in fleet operations and specifically maintenance programs with 3 or more years in a leadership role
  • Proven leadership ability running teams and moving products forward
  • Thorough understanding of Auto Integrate workflows and reporting tools
  • Thorough understanding of Fleet Maintenance best practices, process, and procedures
  • Established industry relationships with Fleet Maintenance and Fuel leaders
  • ASE certification is a plus

Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets, printers and fax machines.

Working Conditions

This position will be based out of our office in Oak Brook, Illinois. Until the Company moves to Oak Brook in early 2026, this will temporarily work out of the office in Schaumburg, Illinois. This role also offers remote work flexibility with 3 days in office, and 2 days remote.

Compensation/Benefits

The hiring range for this role is: $118,000.00 to $155,000.00 USD Annual. This role is classified as exempt for purposes of all applicable wage and hour laws, which means that the individual hired will receive overtime pay for more than 40 hours worked in a workweek. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on financial and personal performance throughout the plan year.

Sasser is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data according to 3rd party salary benchmarking surveys. Actual base salary is dependent upon factors such as knowledge, skill level, and experience.
